I want a very cheap place and I want the stuff to be in good condition.

As far as I know, they can be found in resale shops, outlets, or from wholesalers who are willing to sell to the public without going through the retail middleman.

I don’t want second-hand furniture, so perhaps certain outlets may be the answer. They have furniture that has been rejected because of some minor flaw, but actually looks good. Used pieces given by a family member are acceptable, because it has a sentimental touch…

So where to find them in Ohio?

Thanks a lot.

Do you know anything about the Brickwede Brothers Furniture Company of Marietta? How long were they in business?

Brickwede Brothers started out making tea wagons in 1853. They were still
making them in 1929 and selling them in Marietta through Marietta Furniture Company. Their tea wagons were made in several designs to match different dining room suites. They also made other furniture that still can be found in many homes around Washington County.

Kids/Teen Furniture?

Looking for good furniture store that sells kids/teen furniture for a good price in Columbus, Ohio

But why do you need one? There are several reasons…

Safety

As a child, safety should always be the first thing on your mind. For one, why buy your kid his own kiddie chair instead of the ordinary chairs at home? It is because it fits him. Surely, it will prevent him from any accidental fall. This also goes to why you should buy a baby crib for him to sleep on, instead of bed already.

Comfort

Comfort is the next thing that parents should provide their kids. When children feel uncomfortable, they cry or they start throwing tantrums. When they do, you, as a parent, are the one affected. So, why settle for furniture that will not provide them comfort? Buy your child furniture for his use.

Mobility

Because they are comfortable and because you find your child safe using furniture, such as kiddie table and chair, and play pen, you can provide him the freedom to move on his own. For instance, if he has his own chair, he can sit on his own; you just have to watch him do it. If he wants to draw or eat, he can reach the table because it is made for him. For the play pen, he can have the freedom to roam around the area.

Responsible behavior

Showing your child where to keep his things at an early age is already teaching your child become responsible. If you put his clothes in his own dresser and his toys in his own toy box, he will surely start to imitate these activities; hence, eventually becoming responsible of his possessions.

Where is the best place to buy Amish Furniture?

I live in Chicago and I am looking for some quality furniture. I love Amish style and Quality. I was wondering if I should drive to Ohio and have the pieces shipped or if someone knows a place in the western suburbs that has a good show room with reasonable delivery times. (the one in St Charles is 12 to 14 weeks.)

Several years ago we went to an Amish Auction where they sell their quilts, furniture and food. I believe it is a yearly event. I don’t remember exactly where it is at but I know that we went east in Durant, Oklahoma. If you have any info I would appreciate it. It is a really neat experience.
