My husband and I and our 2 year daughter are moving to Ohio in August or September. I am looking for the cheapest way and best way to move. We are not selling out furniture or our car. I was in the military when they move out things it weights about 7000 lbs . I have read about u-pack and they drive things, uhal, pods. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am trying to start my own company by painting prim/country wood decor and furniture and reselling it at craft shows and little craft stores around Ohio but don’t know where to get the basics for my business. I will also be making my own candles so if anyone has any wholesale info on candle making supplies and acrylic paint that would be great!

At the end of next summer, my boyfriend and I will be moving to Colorado for grad school/jobs. Most of our furniture is cheap and can be replaced but some things, like the bed, computers, kitchenware, books, telescope… etc are high quality, were passed down, or have some other sentimental value.
Would it be cheaper to fly ourselves, and the cat, from ohio to colorado and ship these few necessities than to rent a large truck to drive out ourselves where we bring everything? Keep in mind everything we don’t ship in the first instance would have to be bought upon arrival.

BESIDES Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn teen (and stores like Walmart or Target)?
I am planning on buying bedding from PBteen, (www.pbteen.com) because I am planning on redoing my room. Their furniture is very overpriced (like 300 dollars for a nightstand) so I am trying to look elsewhere. Do you have any suggestions? Links are helpful.

Thank you very much Holly9! I love near the Cleveland/Akron area as well, so anywhere near their would be helpful. I’ve already found items at JCpenny and BedBathBeyond, but I haven’t tried. Value City. I’ll look at it now

Do you know anything about the Brickwede Brothers Furniture Company of Marietta? How long were they in business?
Brickwede Brothers started out making tea wagons in 1853. They were still
making them in 1929 and selling them in Marietta through Marietta Furniture Company. Their tea wagons were made in several designs to match different dining room suites. They also made other furniture that still can be found in many homes around Washington County.
